The Sales Development Representative delivers the highest possible sales revenues and profitability by carrying out the overall strategic sales plan and achieving revenue growth targets. The Representative qualifies and follows up on leads, cultivates and grows the existing book of business, achieves productivity and sales volume KPIs, and promotes long-term client engagement and retention.
Responsibilities:
- Qualifies and processes incoming leads (no cold calling)
- Communicates with potential clients on scope of work including budget and timeline estimates
- Handles objections and closes sales
- Leads client kickoff meetings and ensures successful project transition to development team
- Generates ideas to extend the sales funnel and grow number of leads
- Builds long-term relationships with clients and retains business

Position Requirements
The Sales Development Representative has at least 1 year of experience in a digital agency, software company, or B2B sales environment. The ideal Representative fulfills a hybrid work arrangement with 1-2 days in office per week and flexibility to handle client inquiries from multiple geographic locations and time zones.
Knowledge
The Sales Development Representative has mastery of business to business sales strategy and closing principles and is highly proficient at communication with world-class industry clients and stakeholders. A good understanding of software and web services development, the modern technology stack (backend, frontend, UX), digital transformation, online marketing, and e-commerce concepts is needed. Expertise in Google Sheets and experience in online platforms such as Clutch and Upwork is a plus.

The Sales Development Representative is well-networked and has proven success in lead follow up. Highly proficient oral and written communication, in-person and virtual meeting facilitation, and pitch deck execution are key required skills. The Representative is skilled in estimating, negotiation, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
